Former foster youth perseveres, becomes veterinarian

Jory Clark entered foster care in San Bernardino County when he was six-years-old. After years of homelessness, he spent 11 years of foster care and was in 20 different placements, had 4 social workers, and attended 9 high schools. Along the way he crossed paths with social worker Sara Garza who encouraged him to go to college.

And he did. After 11 years in college, Jory graduated this spring from Western University of Health Sciences and is now beginning his career as a veterinarian.
