A boundary is like a fence around our home providing privacy and protecting our valuables. Living in alignment with our priorities, connecting with others, practicing gratitude and being intentional with self-care will require discipline and utilizing boundaries can help. Your daily schedule may need some attention. Protect your time and energy with boundaries by saying “no” to things that drain your reserves. Perhaps set a bedtime to get consistent quality sleep or take some vacation days and put them in your calendar. Focusing on the things that are most important to your wellness and placing boundaries around them can aide in preventing burnout.
